I am a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience who specializes in helping adults, adolescents, and couples work through a variety of life transitions and emotional problems. My work centers around helping my clients improve their relationships both with intimate partners, as well as within their families. I have an expertise in the areas of anxiety, depression, marital difficulty, separation and divorce, parenting, workplace difficulties, and grief. In addition, I have a particular interest in working with teenagers who are struggling with the impact of divorce on the family, as well as anxiety and depression.
I graduated cum laude from The Catholic University of America where I received my Masters of Social Work in 1996. Since graduation, I have worked in both the private and public sector and have maintained a private clinical practice since 2000. I have been trained in a number of psychotherapeutic modalities, including: cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, positive psychology, solution focused therapy, and couples therapy. In addition, I am a trained collaborative divorce coach and child specialist.
Recently, I was voted Best Marriage and Family Therapist by Bethesda Magazine 2019.
