Collaborative Divorce

Collaborative divorce is an alternative approach to the traditional combative divorce process.  It helps divorcing couples and families move beyond the divorce and look to the future in a less painful way.  Collaborative divorce engages divorcing couples outside of the courtroom in an open and supportive way that helps them resolve issues by developing shared solutions that meet the needs of the family now and in the future.  The process is open and mutually respectful.   It is a team based approach where each client has an attorney, and the option to use a mental health professional as a divorce coach, a child specialist, and a trained financial professional for additional support.  Rather than judges making decisions for one’s family, clients are direct participants in the outcome.
